Annemasse-based rapper Flex returns with his latest release, Golf 8, an intense drill track featuring a high-octane collaboration with two guest MCs—one hailing from Lausanne, Switzerland, and another from France. Together, they capture the fast-paced, nocturnal atmosphere of driving through the city late at night with no intent of slowing down.

Built around heavy 808 glides, aggressive brass loops, and crisp sliding drill drums, Golf 8 blends modern French and Swiss urban energy to create a relentless listening experience. The track balances cold, reflective verses with an explosive hook, making it equally suited to late-night car sessions, workout playlists, and rowdy club crowds.

Inspired by late-night runs and the sharp focus required to move through the street scene, Golf 8 takes its name from the iconic car symbolising speed, status, and stealth. While the tempo stays high, the raw lyricism from all three artists gives the track an authentic, street-level edge that resonates throughout its heavy, layered production.

Speaking about the release, Flex said: “We wanted to bring that cross-border energy into one track. ‘Golf 8’ is about the drive, the speed, and staying locked into your lane no matter where you're from—whether it's Annemasse, Lausanne, or anywhere else.”

Behind the Flex project is a rising artist from Annemasse, near the Swiss border, whose passion for hip-hop began in his early teens. Since stepping up to the mic, he has developed a versatile style drawing influence from a wide range of subgenres, including trap, French rap, UK drill, and boom-bap. That rich musical background allows him to bridge the border scene seamlessly, resulting in collaborations that combine authentic street storytelling with modern, high-energy beats.
